Founded in 1958, Cangzhou Medical College (CMC) is the only state-funded full-time college in Changzhou that focuses on medical and health education. Over the past 60 years, the school has trained more than 60,000 medical and health technical personnel for the society.

At present, CMC covers an area of 682260.48 square meters (68.3 hectares) and a floor space of about 280,000 square meters. It has 206 experimental and training rooms in  15 experimental and training centers, 1 experimental center for scientific research, and teaching and research equipment with a total value of 100 million RMB. There also a library covering 11,000 square meters with a collection of 800,000 volumes.

The school has 480 full-time teachers, including 193 senior professional titles and 267 doctoral or master's degrees. Two experts enjoy the special government subsidies from the State Council and one teacher is awarded as the Model Teacher of China.

CMC consists of 20 majors including Clinical Medicine, Stomatology, Acupuncture and Massage, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Nursing, Midwifery, Pharmacy, Traditional Chinese pharmacology, Medicine Management and Administration, Quality and Safety of Medicine, Pharmaceutical production technology, Optical Techniques, Medical Lab Test Technology, Medical Imaging Technology, Medical Nutrition, Rehabilitation Therapeutic Technology, Medical Cosmetic Techniques, Psychological Counseling, Health Management, Preventive Medicine etc.

We have 10 affiliated hospitals, three of which are under its supervision, 39 teaching hospitals and more than 100 training bases. The internship retention rate reached over 70%, and the graduate employment rate remained above 95%.
